Additional Information

Is leadership inherent or can it be learned? This question has been the topic of debate among leadership experts for years. At the Center, we believe that with very few exceptions, leadership practices and skills can be developed by anyone.

There are, of course, requirements for leadership development. The first is a desire to learn and develop on the part of the aspiring leaders. The second is to have the proper tools and training to understand and address development needs. That is where one applies the Leadership Assessment Framework.

The Leadership Assessment Framework allows an individual to solicit feedback from various individuals in the school and compile the responses into a comprehensive leadership practices inventory. Armed with this, the individual is able to identify and address developmental needs. This framework can also be used as a powerful coaching tool while working with leaders that you are trying to develop.
